Purpose :
To build tension, what's going to happen within the situation and the thoughts of things going wrong within the time scale they were given.
The questions of things that are going round in their heads among the radio and the constant time clicks of the watch.
But the clip gives us information but not each moment of it informs us.
It establishes the genre, because it gives us the tension that we would expect of a crime scene from the points that there's police and a murmur of suspense music, and people in black masks.
It sets time also, from the quick speed and time rush given.
Also it's a form of dramatic entertainment.
Sounds:
The constant murmur of the police radio in the background > not knowing where they are.
The watch clicking on timer and making suspense of speed.
The alarm of which goes of in the building, means that someones aware of the robbery.
The ball game on the car radio making a laid back effect.
The sudden gunshot gives a broad effect by taking the sullen quietness of the night.
a) The ticking watch> this ticking watch had a very dull pitch to the scene and gave of a dramatical effect, but the volume was something included that made it really suspenseful because it was there in the background among other noises. And the tone was something different because it was constant and repetitive.
b) The radio> this didn't have much input on the clip part we watched but further on it related into a story and but the pitch of it made it stand out over other sounds input within this. But the volume made it more interesting because it took away some of the drama. An it gave of the tone of something different and made the scene more unique.
c) The police radio scanner> the radio was such a full input on the clip due to the deep pitching, because there was such and effect of worries from it due to the fact that you could hear them police talking but you couldn't see them. And the volume was minimal but was overhead of all sounds and gave you thoughts about where they could be and what could happen. The tone was strong, as you could get a basic description from them and also was distinctive across the clip.
d) Environmental sound (alarm, traffic, car engine, police siren).> the pitch of environmental sounds were not really anything major as they're everyday sounds we can hear but all at different spaces, so the sounds all counteract each-other. The volume was a basic over was mid tone high level city sound, but it was quiet and fitted into the clip really well. And the tone of them all worked well.

I think that overall all the sounds together really have the clip a great theme of suspense due to the fact that they all relate to the same thing and fitted in with the genre in which they are and made it seem like a chase in real like and made us be able to imagine ourselves from things like the suspense of the clock ticking about how much time they were going to have and the tension it gave because the sound was overwhelming as not one had the same volume or pitch.
